Hey guys, Back in the summer, I got into a little accident. It was 5AM, so thankfully there were no cars on the road, but it had rained quite a bit, so it was definitely wet out. Anyways, I've heard time and time again that these cars are not friendly in the rain, and I now understand what everyone means by this. To keep the story short, my car completely lost traction in the middle of a sharp curve and began to drift violently out of control. I was extremely lucky because I JUST missed the wall. Instead, I cleared the curve and hit a curb on the right side, and then the other curb on the left side and went completely over. The end result: my front right chrome wheel was toast, I popped my rear left tire, and my front left wheel became completely mis-aligned/bent (after having replaced all the parts, I still think my wheel is not entirely straight now). Also, the bottom of the fender was pulled apart and as a result, the paint cracked a lot.

My questions are: What would you guys do? Would you get a shop to try and fix the fender and match the paint? Would it be better if I bought a new fender? I know repainting the fender is quite costly, and although the cracks bother me tremendously, if I could put the money to better use, I would. Is there a way I can apply clear coat (or some other product) to the cracks to ensure that the paint won't completely peel off? Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!
